2009 Verdelho Angelique
Unlike the true fortified style dessert wines, this wine undergoes minimal fermentation before the brandy spirit is added. It is added to freshly pressed-off juices after one night of fermentation. The alcohol is present not so much from the fermentation, but from the spirit itself. It has delicious sugars and citrus on the palate and a touch of smooth brandy overtones on the finish.
